Like there’s good Americans and bad, or we all have our bad times and good times, Russians and Chinese also, and the same rule applies to Israel and Yahweh. Sometimes we have to appear as bad actors, sometimes as good. Even a nominally bad guy can stand up in his secret societies or secret circles and stop a war or a nuclear war. We may be pretenders, hypocrites and narcissists, but there may be moments of clarity.
But truly wise and understanding people are few and far between.

Jeffrey Sachs starts out with a long historical account of American regime change policy. Piers Morgan counters with the usual common as dirt idea of Putin propaganda and an ILLEGAL invasion of Ukraine by Russia, with a seeming knowledge and emphasis on international law. Sachs talks more about regime change but he doesn’t say anything about “legalities”.
Is it OK to lie and cheat, as Sachs says repeatedly? Is it legal to regime change another country, and then blame the other side for invading, since the other side recognizes and sees an overtly hostile and pernicious policy of arming NATO allies on your border, posing a first strike danger from all your illegal expansions? That’s right on your border, with possibly only 5 minutes warning to decide on a counterstrike, before the greater part of your nuclear deterrent is destroyed on the ground, in the air, or on and under the sea?
Wouldn’t that make anybody a little jumpy, if you only have 5 minutes to decide if you have to destroy the world, because your enemy has decided that he thinks he can destroy you and win a nuclear war, because your enemy is an idiot and a moron about nuclear risk, escalation and the possible range ofrealities about a global nuclear war?
And because your enemy is an idiot, and he won’t talk, and he can’t talk outside of his little bubble of NATO hostility, you can have little or no idea if there is any vestige of sanity in their coalition of the willing sons of perdition?

Narcissism doesn’t have to acknowledge reality or justify itself. Sometimes they can’t possibly justify themselves so they revert to the strategy of maligning, defaming and slandering their enemies. If they look bad, all they’ve got is to make their enemies look worse.
And I can sympathize. Pretence can be fun, and pretensions.
